Repatriation Training

Repatriation is an often neglected aspect of global mobility.  A third of repatriates resign within a year of returning. For companies, tapping into the knowledge and experience of their former expatriates and keeping motivated employees is critical. For returnees, repatriating is often a decisive and difficult moment in their lives. The unexpected emotional reaction to what is supposed to be familiar is often called reverse culture shock.

We work with our clients to help them understand the issues around repatriation, debrief their assignment and set realistic expectations and goals for their new life at home. Coaching is an essential aspect of this programme as many emotional aspects--loss of identity, discomfort about changing relationships, a desire to change course--may only show up over time.

Example: Returning home – Establishing your new life at home
